24 June, 2023

Oniris School is located in Nantes, in the west of France, where the agri-food industries are an integral part of the local economy. National Graduate Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Food Science Engineering and Biotechnology, Oniris is a state-run establishment with degrees ranging from two-year undergraduate degree
level to PhD.
Resulting from the merger of the former "École Nationale Vétérinaire de Nantes" and "École Nationale d'Ingénieurs des Techniques des Industries Agricoles et Agroalimentaires", Oniris' ambition today is to train highlevel professionals concerned with the international challenges in the fields of food, health, environment and
sustainability. Indeed, Oniris is one of the few European institutions where food science engineering and veterinary medicine students can interact, through the concepts of "One Health" and food safety.
The Engineering track is mainly dedicated to the Food Industries sector, ranging from food science to food engineering, including management, marketing and quality, as well as Biotechnology.
All  students are immersed in an innovative and creative environment, thanks to :
- Joint Research Units with the most prestigious national research centers (CNRS, INSERM, INRA, ANSES),
internationally recognised
- State-of-the-art learning facilities (co-design rooms, veterinary simulation rooms)
- Professional platforms (2,000 m² Food Technology Hall, Veterinary Teaching Hospital).
